Bumma Bippera Media 98.7 is a broadcast Radio station from Cairns, Queensland, playing Classic Country music.

The name Bumma Bippera is derived from the language of the Yidinji Aboriginal tribe of the Cairns area, where the word meaning(s) are: Bumma or Bama = Aboriginal Persons or People Collectively therefore, their Organisation denotes: Bumma Bippera = Aboriginal People Talking Bumma Bippera Media 98.7FM is the first and only indigenous radio service in Cairns. Their state of the art studios are located right in the heart of Cairns at 1/143 Buchan Street. BBM 98.7 FM extends as far south as Gordonvale, West to Kuranda, Atherton and Mareeba, north to Port Douglas and Mossman, east to Yarrabah, and the Cairns area. BBM 98.7FM has the potential to reach more than 150,000 listeners daily. Radio service also extends nationally, Monday to Friday via their Talk Back program “TALK BLACK” and also a number of other programs through the National indigenous radio service and Globally via our online audio stream. Station's aim is to be the best Community Radio Station in Cairns and to involve a broad cross section of the community in delivering the service. They are proud of the fact we have volunteers, staff and members who are both indigenous and non indigenous people.
