It is owned by Bonneville International (media and broadcasting company owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), is licensed to Longmont, Colorado and serves Denver-Boulder area. The first air date of this radio was September 1964 and the first callsign was KLMO-FM. Later on it has changed its callsign several times until it became KKFN-FM in 2008. The format was also changed several times until they finally tried sports in 2008 and still keep to this format until now.104.3 The Fan is an affiliate of Fox Sports Radio Network. So it broadcasts several shows from Fox Sports, carries play-by-play for most of the major sports leagues and produces local programming for the rest of the on-air time.
