The Voice Of Our People
The National Indigenous Radio Service is a national satellite service whose network operating centre is located in Brisbane. Its network of Indigenous broadcasting stations span the nation and provide satellite programs which smaller less resourced stations can use to support their own programming. For over three decades, NIRS has provided radio programming and media marketing services to more than 180 First Nation community broadcasters, and continues to deliver 24 hours of programming each day via satellite to all metropolitan, regional, and perhaps most importantly, remote communities across Australia.
